DES MOINES – The City of Creston will be recognized as an Iowa certified “Connected” community on Tuesday, August 5. Creston representatives and Connect Iowa will release a Technology Action Plan that will include the results of an assessment undertaken by the City of Creston Broadband Team and Connect Iowa to achieve the official Connected certification. Creston will become the fifth certified Connected community in Iowa. Union County also participated in the Connected Community Engagement Program and will release its Technology Action Plan. The event will include remarks from Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds.
